HOMESTEADERS this is the perfect bird for you!!  BLRW are beautiful medium-large brown egg layer.  Blue Laced Red Wyandottes will be a fantastic dual-purpose breed for any small homestead or for small egg farm.   Hens lay around 4-6 light brown eggs each week in season. Wyandottes are very docile birds and are an excellent family-friendly breed.  The color blue does not breed true. The chicks hatched from blue laced parents can be blue laced, black laced, or splash.  The hen will lay around 180-260 eggs annually.  At maturity the hen will weigh 6 1/2 pounds and the Rooster will weigh 8 1/2 pounds.  The Wyandotte is considered a medium weight bird.
