Description

BLACK COPPER MARANS, are a beautiful medium-large brown egg layer.  Black Copper Maran will be a fantastic dual-purpose breed for any small homestead or for small egg farm.   Hens lay around 4-6 light brown eggs each week in season. Marans are very docile birds and are an excellent family-friendly breed.    The hen will lay around 180-260 eggs annually.  At maturity the hen will weigh 6 1/2 pounds and the Rooster will weigh 8 1/2 pounds.  The Maram is considered a medium weight bird.
